Real World Monitoring provides healthcare organisations with reliable, relevant, and real-time insights into healthcare processes and treatment outcomes. R(H)ONDA
R(H)ONDA stands for Realtime (Hemato) Oncology Data. It is an innovative link between the hospital information system and the Netherlands Cancer Registry (Nederlandse Kankerregistratie, or NKR), developed in collaboration with the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organisation (Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland, or IKNL). Through the Datagateway, EPD (electronic patient dossier) data are automatically converted to an FHIR format that meets all privacy requirements and is immediately usable for national cancer registration.
How does it work?
- Data from the EPD (such as diagnosis, treatment and medication) are automatically retrieved.
- The Datagateway translates this information into FHIR profiles, in line with national standards.
- The IKNL receives near real-time data in a secure and structured way, without manual intervention.
- Validation and verification processes are built in to ensure that all data is complete and reliable.
This stream is secure, scalable and privacy-proof. No more spreadsheets or double work.

Rehabilitation register with Revalidatie Nederland
In collaboration with Revalidatie Nederland (RN) and The Dutch Association of Rehabilitation Physicians (Vereniging van Revalidatieartsen, or VRA), the Rehabilitation Register (Revalidatieregister) was launched. It offers insight into existing data of patient groups, treatments and efficiency of all diagnoses in specialist medical rehabilitation.

Sharing patient-reported outcomes through a secure, reliable and efficient data infrastructure. It has all become possible thanks to the cooperation with H2O Netherlands. It is a new step in connecting healthcare providers and patients across organisational and national borders!
