Personal alarms are handled by monitoring centres using our Enovation UMO/Enovation UMO cx product.
A growing number of elderly people are living at home longer, due to both personal preference and national health and care policies. Personal alarms and telecare devices (also known as Technology Enabled Care) provide reassurance by connecting quickly to a 24/7 monitoring centre when help is needed.
The monitoring centre provides rapid and appropriate responses, including mobilising professional or informal carers, health teams or emergency services;.
Telecare and TEC devices include fixed alarms, mobile GSM alarms, and a variety of sensors to detect many different triggers, including smoke, carbon monoxide, low temperature and falls. This provides great reassurance to the service user and to their family.
In case of an emergency, help is just one single push of the button away.
Using the fixed telephone or internet connection at home, the device’s SIM card connects with the care centre.
Using a 4G or 5G network, the call comes in at the care centre, where the correct contact person is informed and supplied with the location details.
With this connection, notifications and data from measurements taken at home that require action are displayed directly on the dashboard of medical care centres.
