Enovation is the first monitoring solution provider to be certified to the new TSA quality standard for suppliers
We are delighted to announce that following an exacting audit with TEC Quality, Enovation UK were certified in March 2021 as being fully compliant with the new scope of “Supplier” within the TEC Quality Standards Framework (QSF).

We are delighted to announce that following an exacting audit with TEC Quality, Enovation UK were certified in March 2021 as being fully compliant with the new scope of “Supplier” within the TEC Quality Standards Framework (QSF).
Enovation provides the UMO monitoring solution and is the first monitoring solution supplier to be successfully accredited to this latest Standard. The importance of this is further increased by the recent accreditation of TEC Quality by United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to ISO/IEC17065:2012 for the Certification of Technology Enabled Care Services. UKAS is the sole national accreditation body for the United Kingdom, recognised by government to assess organisations that provide certification services.
Certification is especially important for Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services and products, which are critical to the safety, health, and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals: the Department of Health has urged TEC commissioners to procure only from QSF-certified suppliers.
All organisations that apply for TEC Quality QSF are audited against 10 Standards Modules, the heart of which focuses on the principles of User Experience, Safety, Effectiveness, Ethics, and Quality.
Enovation were found to be compliant with all 10 modules, together with the additional elements introduced for Suppliers, including:
- Being open, honest and reliable
- Fair treatment of customers
- Roll out and roll back of new software releases
- Clear pricing policies and effective maintenance support
- Working openly and providing product interoperability
- Driving quality and improvement in partnership
The last two points on this list were well evidenced by the Enovation UMO Partner Programme which is unique to Enovation in the TEC sector, with over 300 products from 200 manufacturers having tested and proven interoperability with UMO.
Paul Shead, Managing Director, Enovation UK, said: “As one of the first to go through the new Supplier module of the TSA QSF, we were not sure what to expect. We became accredited to the QSF a year previously, so were unsure what the new audit process for Suppliers would look like. However, we were very pleased with the proactive guidance provided by the TSA auditor. The additional requirements for Suppliers were clear and concise, and fitted well with the QSF modules. It was good to have the opportunity to give feedback for fine tuning the process, and the dialogue with the auditor was always positive, focused and reasonable. I definitely recommend certification to other suppliers, whether they have previously been audited by the TSA or not: the new elements feel much more focused on what suppliers do – in our case, providing our UMO software to 24/7 monitoring centres.“
