Enovation UMO
The solution for Technology Enabled Care (TEC) monitoring centres to support vulnerable people with professional alarm monitoring services for a wide range of devices.
Can you imagine what it is like to lie on the floor for a very long time, unable to do anything and hoping that someone will find you soon?
According to the UK government, around a third of people aged 65 and over, and around half of people aged 80 and over, fall at least once per year. The Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) reported that in 2017 to 2018 there were 220,160 emergency hospital admissions related to falls among patients aged 65 and older, with around 67% of these patients aged 80 and over. Un-addressed fall hazards in the home are estimated to cost the NHS in England £435 million. The consequences of falls are obvious and have a major effect on the person. A fall incident can become even more traumatic if he / she does not have the ability to raise an alarm after a fall, and a prolonged period on the floor significantly increases the need for medical attention. Enovation UMO can make the difference at such a moment. Pressing the button results in rapid assistance, often avoiding the need for hospital admission.

Our services
With our new range of Web and mobile applications we want to revolutionise the relationship between monitoring centre and carers, family members and other chain partners.
In an entirely new concept to the telecare and telehealth market, our Enovation UMO Apps and Web applications – designed for ease of use through smart phones, tablets and or web browser – are allowing professionals and informal carers to access data held at a monitoring centre from anywhere.
This transition will support both internal, external personnel and clients to become integral partners in providing services and support.
The use of Loneworker services protects employees who work individually in potential dangerous work or remote environments.
Examples are:
- Domiciliary care staff
- Mobile response teams
- Social workers
These ”Lone workers” are protected by sharing their wellbeing with Enovation UMO. Before starting an activity the Loneworker checks into the system using SMS or a telephone call. The Loneworker gives an estimate about the duration of the activity. If the Loneworker has not confirmed the activity is finished within the preset duration, and does not respond to an automatic reminder from Enovation UMO, an alarm will be generated to operators.
The Loneworker service can be used by the mobile phone of the employee or by carrying a specific device with additional features such as GPS location, providing many options to suit the needs of the service user.
Enovation UMO (before the UMO Platform) has been monitoring digital IP alarms since 2009. Highly configurable, Enovation UMO is at the forefront of IP monitoring, with many tens of thousands of IP telecare alarms already connected and monitored.
Digital has an ‘always-on’ connection between a wider range of devices, which allows them to communicate continuously over the internet, ensuring that service users are safer than ever before.
Cloud Based
As well as receiving digital alarm calls, Enovation UMO can also be installed using our cloud-based environment, which removes the need to have physical servers installed in the service provider’s offices, using high grade datacentres instead. This makes the platform more flexible and easier to expand, without the worry and cost of adding extra hardware.
Mobile alarms are the latest development in emergency alarms, offering many more advantages.
Pinpointing the location of people who need help is crucial for the efficient co-ordination of assistance. Using mobile alarms can mean a map is displayed to the operator showing the location of the caller.
A special ‘Search and Find’ function also offers the central operator the possibility of tracing a person on demand. For instance, when a patient is travelling and has forgotten their medication.
