Annemiek supports healthcare organisations with the implementation and expansion of Enovation Medimo: ‘You get to know your clients well and help them grow’
‘It feels good to contribute to better care by supporting the healthcare professionals who work directly with patients.’ That’s what motivates Annemiek Klein in her role as project manager at Enovation Medimo. Since February this year, she has been supporting healthcare organisations in implementing Enovation Medimo and helping existing clients expand their use of Enovation’s solutions. In this interview, she shares what makes her work so rewarding.
In her spare time, Annemiek helps people find their balance on the waves as an eFoil instructor, and at work, she helps healthcare organisations navigate the often turbulent waters of care processes. ‘Enovation Medimo can support virtually any process you can think of. It’s truly an overarching approach to healthcare processes.’
Contributing to better care

From an early age, Annemiek knew she wanted to help people, so she decided to train as a district nurse. ‘After qualifying, I provided patients with wound care, diabetes management, stoma care and other nursing support. However, I soon realised that I could only help one patient at a time, and I wanted to make a bigger impact. That’s why I went on to study Nursing, Management & Innovation at university, so that I could make a difference as an advisor, product specialist or project manager and contribute to improving care on a larger scale.’
Driven by innovation in healthcare
Improving care processes was also a key reason behind Annemiek’s decision to join Enovation Medimo. ‘As a freelancer, I helped guide the transition from pharmacy-based medical aid provision to digital solutions, so I already had plenty of experience with projects connecting healthcare and pharmacy. An acquaintance of mine was already working for Enovation and told me more about their solutions. From that conversation, I came away with the impression that this was a company with a strong connection to healthcare, close contact with healthcare professionals and a real drive for innovation. That impression was confirmed when I later spoke with the managing director of Enovation Medimo.’
‘What appealed to me immediately was that with Enovation Medimo’s solutions, you can help a large group of healthcare professionals all at once. Medication safety, sign-off of medicines and medication recognition are all made simpler and safer for a broad range of users.’
A rewarding start
Annemiek continues: ‘One of the great things about Enovation Medimo is how versatile it is. Anything you can imagine in terms of healthcare processes – Enovation Medimo can handle it. There are organisations that have been using it for ten years and still don’t know everything it can do.’
Because of that broad applicability, Annemiek had a lot of new information to absorb in her first few weeks. ‘It took some adjustment, but I actually really enjoyed learning so many new things. I was lucky that the managing director at the time was still there during his final month and took the time to explain how everything in the organisation worked. By shadowing colleagues, I gained a much clearer understanding of day-to-day operations.’
Client-focused and varied
As project manager at Enovation Medimo, Annemiek supports both new and existing clients, for example with the use of electronic medication administration registration. ‘I help healthcare organisations get connected to our digital medication sign-off solution and work with them to explore how we can expand existing functionalities.’ With an average of around forty active projects at once, her work is dynamic and varied. ‘Each project typically lasts about three months, but the exact duration varies per organisation. What I really enjoy about my work is getting to know our clients well. By listening carefully and asking questions, you gain real insight into their processes.’
Solving the puzzle of better care
‘Then the real puzzle begins: how can we use Medimo in a way that truly works for their situation?’, Annemiek explains. ‘The more familiar you become with the platform, the more interesting that puzzle gets. You keep discovering new possibilities, which allows you to give increasingly targeted advice. That’s how I help healthcare organisations take concrete steps forward in optimising the registration, ordering and sign-off of medication.’
Smart technology with a human touch
In addition to working with clients, Annemiek really enjoys the innovative side of her work. ‘I find medication recognition particularly fascinating. It really represents the future, which is smart technology that directly supports healthcare professionals.’ Team collaboration is another source of job satisfaction. ‘Communication within the team is easy, which means we can act quickly and put new ideas into practice.’ She also recognises that same commitment to healthcare in her colleagues. ‘Everyone here has that real passion for healthcare. We want to help healthcare providers focus on what they do best, by taking as much of the administrative burden off their shoulders as possible.’

From anxiety to calm and clarity
According to Annemiek, effective digital support is essential for the future of healthcare. ‘For many healthcare organisations, the entire digital transformation process still feels daunting or complicated. But once they start working with it, they soon realise it actually brings structure and peace of mind.’ By using Enovation Medimo for digital medication sign-off, processes not only become faster, but also more transparent. ‘You can trace everything, medication management becomes clear and you can even adapt to individual situations, for example when a patient has difficulty taking certain medication.’
Work that makes an impact
For anyone considering a career at Enovation Medimo, Annemiek has a clear message: ‘Just go for it! Have a chat with us and spend a day seeing what we do. Once you experience it for yourself, you’ll see how much support we can offer healthcare organisations. It’s incredibly varied work: you start with a client’s idea and help turn it into the desired end result.’
