Bernhoven Hospital now also offers patients a mobile app
As of September 17, Bernhoven Hospital in the Dutch Oss region offers patients a mobile app. This app was launched a year after the hospital started using the MijnBernhoven patient portal.
The mobile app now allows patients to use their mobile phones to manage a host of matters that are vital for their care process at the hospital. This has further expanded the services offered by the hospital.
“The MijnBernhoven App makes accessing medical information even easier”, the hospital states. “Patients can easily consult all their information, prepare for appointments and modify their personal information themselves. Anytime, anywhere. By always having access to their medical information and appointments, patients can better manage their health.”
“We’re proud of this wonderful result that we achieved in collaboration with the Bernhoven team”, says Diandra de Jong, product owner at Enovation Funatic. “We want this to contribute to a smooth patient journey, because we believe people value and enjoy being in charge of their care process.”
What can patients do with the MijnBernhoven App?
With the MijnBernhoven App, patients will always have access to an overview of their medical information and appointments on their phone or tablet. This app offers the same functionalities as the patient portal. Patients log in with their DigiD. The app allows patients to:
- View appointments.
- Read relevant leaflets with advice and information about their treatment or research.
- Review through measurements, test results and letters from their medical file.
- View personal information and modify certain parts.
Bernhoven is the hospital for the Oss-Maashorst-Meierijstad region in the Netherlands, serving 280.000 inhabitants. Motivated by their passion for people, more than 2000 employees are dedicated to delivering the best possible health care.
The mobile app was the result of a collaboration between the IT-project teams of Bernhoven and Enovation Funatic, who had also created the patient portal MijnBernhoven (see this (Dutch) article). The app is available for download on Apple and Android smart phones.
