ICT&health World Conference 2026

27 January 2026 - 29 January 2026 | MECC Maastricht |

ICT&health World Conference 2026

Help shape the future of healthcare

Healthcare transformation is accelerating and nowhere is this more tangible than at the ICT&health World Conference 2026. From 27 to 29 January, the doors of MECC Maastricht will open for a three-day (inter)national congress, bringing together the most influential policymakers, executives, healthcare professionals, innovators and tech experts.

With a programme rooted in action rather than abstract vision, the conference brings meaningful innovations to the forefront. From practical technologies to forward-thinking care models, the emphasis lies in strengthening the role of healthcare professionals and fostering collaboration across the sector to drive genuine breakthroughs.

Are you interested in our perspective on these topics? Visit us at our stand. We will also host three speaking sessions during the conference that you are welcome to attend.

Wednesday 27 January | 14:25 – 15:05 | From Handover to Control: Working Together on Regional Care Coordination
In this interactive session, Glenn Bruins and Auke Speet will explore the transformation of care handovers from hospital to long-term care facilities, moving towards a broader perspective: collaboration at a regional level.
From traditional ‘bed-to-bed’ processes to regional coordination centres and integrated capacity management: what does this require from data, systems and people? How can we ensure that we not only respond, but also anticipate?
You will learn:

  • How chain partners can collaborate more effectively using smart data and process agreements
  • The role of regional coordination centres in practice
  • How to use the same tools to organise better patient flow and improved care

Be inspired and join the discussion on the future of care coordination. The question is not whether healthcare will change, but how quickly you will adapt. Registration is available via this link.

Thursday 28 January | 11:30 – 12:10 | Appropriate, Digital Care Throughout Every Stage of the Patient Journey
Healthcare is under pressure, we all know that. Access to and affordability of care are declining, while workloads continue to rise. A transition is underway that demands much from both healthcare professionals and patients to make care appropriate again. The question is: what role does digitalisation play in this transition, for example in areas such as home monitoring, self-management, prevention and regionalisation? How do we guide patients through every step of the care pathway while enabling professionals to monitor progress remotely?

In this session, Thomas Timmers and Fleur Maagdenberg will combine practical examples with scientific insights on topics including COPD, bowel cancer and regionalisation.

Registration is available via this link.

Friday 29 January | 13:30 – 14:10 | The Enovation Platform – Current Status of Data Availability and Exchange
Significant efforts are being made in the Netherlands to improve the availability and exchange of health data across domains. The Enovation platform is evolving accordingly, and much is already possible and in use. Through several current and concrete case studies, we will share the latest developments and our vision for implementation:

  • National timeline for image availability and DUO based on XDS – what does this mean and what more can be achieved?
  • Regional exchange of health data – strengthening regional collaboration through data: how do we expand existing capabilities and continue to innovate?
  • The Enovation Viewer – providing visibility of what is available via existing and new pathways within the digital healthcare infrastructure
  • Generic functions – the foundation for exchange across various communication patterns

All of these are closely linked to ongoing programmes such as IZA, Wegiz and EHDS.
