New Enovation POINT feature simplifies home care requests for WIJKzorg055

WIJkzorg055, a group of home care providers in the Apeldoorn region of The Netherlands, is the first to use the new Enovation POINT software feature that sends digital home care requests from clients and carers straight to Enovation POINT. Home care workers benefit from having immediate access to accurate and complete information for a later intake consultation.

Before, care clients, carers and families had to call the care provider, who would manually write down all the information. Now there is a special registration portal for patients where requests are submitted digitally, so all the information is gathered accurately in the right place.

With a digital process, care clients can collect and enter all the information they need at their own pace, and then make an appointment at a time that suits both parties.

‘Accessible, time-saving and efficient’

Charlotte van Brussel, a community coordinator for five home care teams at WIJkzorg055, is pleased with the new solution at www.wijkzorg055.nl. “This new way work method ensures that all home care requests in Apeldoorn and Ugchelen end up in a single ‘mailbox’. This makes it easier to keep a good overview, saving us time and making everyday communication between community care nurses more efficient. The information in the care requests is also more complete, allowing us to provide the right care quicker. It’s a win-win situation for the client-to-be and the home care nurses!”

An innovative addition to existing software

The new request feature has been added to Enovation’s existing POINT software, which is used to coordinate and transfer care across the region. This software is used by hospitals and care homes to coordinate the transfer of patient care. The solution provides insight into the available capacity in combination with the level of required care so staff no longer need to call the care homes in the region to find out if they have space.

The regional coordination points stand to benefit in particular because it saves time and all the necessary information is immediately available and always accessible.

How does it work?

How does the new solution work? Anyone who requests home care fills out all the necessary information in an easy-to-use web form. This information goes straight to the Enovation POINT software so the home care provider can take action right away.

Improved service provision

WIJkzorg055 has been using this new feature since May. This new method has been chosen because it improves service to those requesting care. It also supports the ongoing digitalisation of the care sector and further engages the client in their own care plans. Everyone knows how much pressure care workers are under, and this digitalisation is crucial in lightening the load. Every half hour saved increases the efficiency of the care process.

Regional coordination point

Crisis Coordination Point Apeldoorn (CCPA) also uses POINT for new requests from the hospital. Strong efforts are currently underway to connect the care network in the region by allowing GPs to submit digital requests to WIJKzorg055 and the CCPA. This will send the requests from three different points (hospitals, GPs and patients) directly to a single regional coordination point.

This kind of registration page for clients and carers is now also available for all other regions and providers, in the respective house style of each organisation. To learn more about this new Enovation POINT feature, please contact us via the information below.
